About The Author
I was born and raised in Kansas, but have lived in 8 states and visited all but a few, most on the back of my husband’s motorcycle. Having recently retired from 20 years of teaching, I am enjoying more time for writing and my 4 grandchildren. They are often my inspiration, as you can image!
Books for Children:
My first book, boy is that exciting to say, is The Best Advice from clowns. Full of humorous advice, useful in the circus and in life. This book was written and illustrated by me, and is meant for children of all ages! I have fond memories of my first circus and have loved a few clowns. (Who hasn’t?)
Books not for Children:
On the coattails of my first children’s book is The Best Advice from clowns On Dating, a collection of humorous phrases, because as a rodeo clown might say, “You got t’ git back on that horse!” An ideal gift for someone recovering from a bad breakup (like there’s a good one!) or new to the singles’ world for any other reason.
Next on the Docket:
I have written several manuscripts for children and decided I’d just have to learn to illustrate them and get them out there! I’m working on a picture book, for now titled Animal Mamas. This one will be rather shorter and is meant to be read to young toddlers. This one is more lyrical with meter and rhyme, and maybe some rather Suesical made up words!
